In a battle of Hockomock League unbeatens, Oliver Ames (6-0-1) got a fourth-quarter goal from Haley Gilman and four saves from Peyton Phillips in a 1-0 win over Canton to take over the top spot in the Davenport Division. …Kaitlyn Carney and Amanda Lewandowski had three goals apiece as Franklin cruised to a 7-0 win over Mansfield.
Haley Dwight had both goals for Pentucket in a 2-0 win over Amesbury in the Cape Ann League.
A hat trick from Emily Jenkins powered Plymouth North to a 5-1 win over Whitman-Hanson in the Patriot League
GOLF
Will Gefteas and Owen Donovan shot a 38, while Conor Hunter and Nate MacDonald chipped in with a 39 as Canton (9-0) captured the Hockomock Davenport title for the fourth year in a row with a 154-157 win over Oliver Ames.
Aidan Emmerich fired a 2-under-par round for 40 points as St. Mary’s cruised to a 193-79 win over Matignon in the Catholic Central League.
Due to the weather forecast, Friday’s Catholic Central League golf championship has been postponed and will be played the following Tuesday, November 3 at Hillview Country Club in North Reading. All players are eligible for the individual tournament and the team score will be the top four out of five scores from the team.

Luke Saia sniped four goals, powering Pembroke (6-0-1) to a 9-1 drubbing of Patriot League foe Quincy. … John Fogarty erupted for a hat trick, as Scituate (6-0-1) remained unbeaten with a 4-0 blanking of Hanover.
Matthew Mela struck for the game’s lone goal as Natick edged Wellesley, 1-0, in Bay State Conference play.
Seven different Pioneers scored goals, including two from Jack Jalbert, as St. John’s (S) routed Catholic Memorial, 8-0, in the Catholic Conference.

It was a dominant night for Arianna Bezanson and Danvers (4-0) as the junior figured in all six goals for the Tanners in a 6-1 win over Peabody, scoring four goals and setting up two others in a Northeastern Conference affair, giving her 11 tallies in her last three games.
In a Patriot League matchup, Olivia Borgen recorded a pair of goals to lead Whitman-Hanson (7-0-1) past Silver Lake, 3-0. … Plymouth North got three goals and an assist from Kylee Slavik in a 7-0 rout of Notre Dame (H).
Jane Maguire and Claire Nistl found the net and Elle Carter posted her seventh shutout in eight games as Hamilton-Wenham (6-0-2) blanked Georgetown, 2-0, in the Cape Ann League.
Sandwich (5-1-1) came away with a 3-0 Cape & Islands victory over Dennis-Yarmouth behind goals from Daria Horman, Riley Morrison and Victoria McGittigan and the fifth shutout of the year from Sarah Lutsic.
Alexis Vanderzeyde scored twice as Middleboro (8-0) held off Cohasset, 3-2, in the South Shore League.
Zarina Pinto’s two goals were just enough for Central Catholic (4-1-1) to earn a 2-1 Merrimack Valley Conference victory over Andover.

Summer Bejarano and Samantha Faherty turned in a 1-2 finish as Silver Lake edged Hingham, 26-30, in the Patriot League.

Ava Crane had 10 kills and seven aces as Dartmouth (8-0) defeated West Bridgewater, 3-0, in the Southeastern Conference.
